GH/IGF axis

23 products from €15.99

Peptides around the growth hormone and IGF-1 axis: releasing hormones, secretagogues and IGF variants. In the lab they are mainly used to study receptor binding and signalling pathways.

About GH/IGF axis

The peptides in this research area relate to the axis of growth hormone (GH) and insulin-like growth factor IGF-1. They fall into three groups. Analogues of the releasing hormone GHRH are sermorelin, tesamorelin, CJC-1295 and Mod GRF 1-29. Secretagogues described as agonists at the ghrelin receptor GHS-R1a are ipamorelin, GHRP-2, GHRP-6 and hexarelin. Then there are IGF-1 variants and fragments such as IGF-1 LR3, IGF-1 DES, fragment 176-191 and AOD-9604.

For lab work the groups differ clearly. GHRH analogues are fairly long, at 29 to 44 amino acids. The secretagogues are short penta- and hexapeptides containing D-amino acids, which makes them harder for proteases to cleave. CJC-1295 with DAC also carries a group that binds covalently to albumin. Mixes combine a GHRH analogue and a secretagogue in one vial.

Most products come as a lyophilisate in a glass vial, and some fragments also as a spray bottle. Every product page gives sizes and price per mg and, where a source is clear, sequence, molecular formula and CAS number.

Common questions

Are CJC-1295 and Mod GRF 1-29 the same?

CJC-1295 without DAC and Mod GRF 1-29 name the same GHRH analogue with four amino acid substitutions. CJC-1295 with DAC also carries an albumin-binding group and is a separate product with a different molecular mass.

In what form are the peptides supplied?

Mostly as a lyophilisate in a glass vial, with some fragments also as a solution in a spray bottle. Storage conditions are on the safety data sheet of each lot.

Are there lab results for these products?

For some products we show earlier analyses on the product page and under Analyses. They describe older samples and are not a certificate of analysis for the lot delivered today.
